Virtual tastings make a great social event for your staff, clients or prospectives. No group is too small, and an online tasting is a nice way to meet up with friends and family while keeping everyone safe.
Ned will join you and your guests through the power of Zoom (or whichever video conferencing platform you prefer). He will give a talk lasting around an hour and a half, with plenty of space for questions and general cheese chat.
Every tasting includes plenty of useful info about choosing and serving cheese, and matching with drinks, as well as loads of fun stories about cheese and cheesemakers.
Choose your cheese theme
Ned's tastings usually have a theme. You could choose a tasting featuring some of the cheeses and stories from his bestselling book – A Cheesemonger's History of the British Isles - focusing on the history of cheese making in Britain and Ireland. For the internationally minded cheese fan there is the ever-popular France v. Britain tasting - comparing and contrasting the cheeses of two great cheesemaking nations. For craft beer enthusiasts there is The Magic of Cheese and Beer, a tasting full of beer, cheese, gods, goddess, myths and magic.
What's in a Cheese Tasting virtual kit?
You and each of your guests will receive:

Six superb kinds of cheese (enough for two people to enjoy generous servings for the tastings, and then some).

Cheese biscuits and fruit paste.

Two full bottles of specially selected wine, one white, and one of red (if you take the wine option). These have been chosen for their excellence in cheese matching.

All packaging and delivery charges within the UK are included.

If you don't want us to send you wine, we will be delighted to make some recommendations of wines we think will create some interesting matches. We can also include beer as an extra or an alternative. You can, of course, choose to have your tasting without any alcoholic drinks.
What about delivery?
The cheese is delivered in recyclable cardboard boxes and insulated with woodwool or cardboard strips. This will keep your cheese in excellent condition until it reaches you. We do ask for emails and phone numbers of you and your guests so we can react quickly to any delivery problems, but we destroy those details as soon the tasting is over and never use them for marketing, or any other purposes.
