The Perfect Christmas Cheeseboard - A Christmas Cheese Tasting

This December The Cheese Tasting Company proudly presents The Perfect Christmas Cheeseboard at The Walrus and Carpenter Pub 4th December 2016

Featuring a bountiful selection of delicious artisan cheeses paired with a bewildering array of the finest boozes. Expect to encounter cheeses like Montgomery's Cheddar and Herve Mons' Camembert accompanied by Kernel Brewery's Export India Porter and Andresen 20-year-old Tawny Port, among other triumphs of the brewer's and vintner's art.

Including such gustatory and conceptual delights as

• Three Theories for Matching Stilton

• Cheese and Christmas Cake, The North’s Best Kept Secret

• Cheddar With Sherry (and not grandma’s old Croft Original)

Build your own cheeseboard and please all of the people most of the time with a range of suggested selections, from Uncle Alf’s All Trad Bonanza to The Hungry Hipster’s Postmodern Paradise.

Hosted by acclaimed cheese raconteur Ned Palmer in the cosy and convivial surroundings of the Walrus and Carpenter’s cellar bar near London Bridge, this tasting will consist of eight British and French cheeses plus one surprise bonus cheese, two beers, sherry, dessert wine and port, Christmas cake, bread, damson paste and a voucher for two weeks of gout treatment at the conveniently located Guy's hospital.

(NB: Just kidding about the gout voucher.)

Tickets cost £30 each plus booking fee and are available here. Places are limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Ho ho ho!
